Create Your Look Part Four
This is completion week! You will create your look by integrating your beautiful new items into your wardrobe, completing outfits by combining your existing pieces with your new items and creating new looks too. You will use your vision board and notebook again.
FIRST
Use your vision board to remind you of the looks you want to achieve. Try on all your new clothing and accessories and experiment to try them with clothes already in your closet to make new outfits.
SECOND
Try some unusual color combinations. You can get more mileage from your basic pieces by scanning the fashion magazines to copy some of the color combinations. Notice how the current looks are accessorized. If you have had your colors analyzed, experiment with different combinations of neutrals and accents in your palette. Try out new ways to tie a scarf or to layer necklaces to create even more looks.
THIRD
Take photos and make lists of your new and existing outfits by category to use as a reference. Also, take pictures of your accessory bundles to use when creating outfits. Turn the photos into your own Look Book digitally or print them out and put them into a notebook so that you can refer to it whenever you need wardrobe inspiration. Take the photos from your vision board and put them in your Look Book too.
FOURTH
ENJOY GETTING DRESSED! Follow this plan and you will be dressed and out the door in 30 minutes or less for any occasion. No stress, no fuss, just tons of compliments!
JEAN’S NOTES
Congratulations on completing this process. Celebrate and enjoy all the changes you have made to bring order to your closet and your wardrobe. You have every right to be proud of yourself.
Keep up the good work by checking your closet weekly/monthly to keep it organized. Do this process every Spring and Fall to cull the items that no longer work for you. Do the vision board exercise too, at least yearly, so that you continue to collect basics and interesting accent items that speak to your current personal style. Creating outfits will be a SNAP! You will have a beautifully curated wardrobe that will take you anywhere you want to go, actually, the wardrobe of your dreams.
