4 MORE PICK-ME-UPS FOR SUMMER
ARE YOU FEELING IT TOO OR IS THIS JUST ME? This summer! Maybe it’s because COVID is back with a vengeance – please stay safe y’all! – or just that every year I dislike the heat more and more. Anyway, I’m seriously needing WardrobeJazz therapy myself to get through the summer. Here are more quick tips to JAZZ your look. Enjoy!
A MANI/PEDI in a whole new color range. I you usually are a red or nothing girl, try going the opposite route: Go to your best BLUE: Pale Turquoise, Royal, Teal, or Aqua. Nothing like seeing something totally different to get your attention. If you hate it, you can change it fast, if you love it – hey you got a new look!
FRESH FLOWERS IN YOUR HOME are not strictly WardrobeJazz but having them brightens my day every time I look at my mantle. Again, try blooms you have never bought before. Try One single, perfect bloom that truly inspires you to smile.
UNUSUAL COLOR COMBINATIONS are a sure way to shake things up. We all do Green and Blue together, but here are some more exciting options that you can do with clothing items, jewelry, scarves, shoes. The point is to try something and play with what you have in ways you haven’t tried before:
Pink &Orange
Red & Orange
Turquoise & Purple
Lavender & Sage
Royal Blue & Bright Yellow
Gold & Lime Green
Purple & Orange
WORK ON YOUR EYEBROWS, no not to make them “PERFECT” but to make sure they are framing your face properly. Not too dark or heavy, please! When we age the brows need to be defined, but if they are too dark or heavy – as is the style for the younger set – they will look harsh and age you even more than no brows at all. Speaking of which, brows do fade with age, and sometimes health issues make them fall out. Stay tuned to see my journey on handling that issue next week!
If you are having some frustration with clothes, makeup, or hair, contact me for a quick Zoom consult or an in-person appointment. I want you to have an easy, flattering look that makes you happy to look in the mirror!
Love this! Thanks!!
Great ideas. thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you listed putting unusual colors together. I started wearing my clothes in different combinations because it’s fun and I like being different. When you can take an outfit and see it differently by not only color combinations or patterns it makes my clothes more interesting and I wear them longer. I started with just doing the patterns on the weekend, but now I wear some of the not-so-dramatic patterns to work. 🙂 Thanks!
Damita, get ready for more fun combinations for Autumn, there are lots of prints and some interesting color combos I will be exploring. Thank you for being a loyal reader. Plum with touches of the pumpkin you wear so well will be lovely!
